Scorched Oak is a smoking hot stoner rock band based in Dortmund, Germany. The trio provides mesmerizing riffs, a throbbing bass and compelling drums. By combining haunting instrumental elements with Linda’s distinctive singing and Ben’s rough voice Scorched Oak’s audience awaits a blazing performance.

Scorched Oak are gearing up to release their second full-length album »Perception« on March 22nd, 2024.

Can you say a few words about your band?
Scorched Oak is a stoner/doom trio from Dortmund, Germany. It is a mixture of stoner rock and doom with a pinch of blues providing a huge variety of musical elements combined with two distinct lead singers.

Line-up:
Linda – Bass, Vocals
Ben – Guitar, Vocals
Freed – Drums

What was the biggest challenge for the band last year?
2023 was quite eventful for us. We recorded our second album »Perception« in October during a four day live recording session which is always really exciting but exhausting as well. Especially if you do it in your own rehearsal room which doesn’t got any daylight at all.
The second challenge was the shooting of our first music video for our new single »Delusion«. Quite an interesting experience especially if you hadn’t done this before. As a bonus the first day of shooting was on a rainy November day outside.

What can you be most proud of last year?
We just had our single release and are looking forward to the album release on March 22nd, 2024.

What was your biggest regret?
Honestly no regrets so far. And in our actual band context I think we have nothing to regret at all. We had a huge lot of nice experiences over the years and met tons of wonderful people.

What was the best concert/tour last year and why?
Well since we only had one gig so far this is an easy one XD We we’re able to play at Rare Guitar Münster and we had a great evening. Besides that two very memorable gigs were our attendance at Rock Hard one day and Stoned From The Underground Festival.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
For me personally I’m surprised every single time I find a new band in the scene. There is so much great stuff going on and so many nice people. And even for the bigger bands you’re quite often able to have a chat with artists before or after the gig.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We have a lot of dates so far and more coming. I would advise to check our website for more info: scorched-oak.de.

What are your plans for this year as a band? What do you personally want the most?
Hopefully we will tour a lot and besides that we are already working on our third album so we will see what’s happening

What are your New Year’s Eve activities like?
To be honest it’s quite “boring” as well. For example last year Linda was on vacation, I had a calm evening and dinner with my wife and Freed had a couple of drinks with some friends.

How can people best support your band?
The best way to support us is to come to our shows and if you like buy some merch.
If you’re too far away to attand our shows feel free to share some of our stuff on social media, tell your friends or buy something at our online shop or Bandcamp.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Thank you! Seriuosly, thank you all so much. We wouldn’t be where we are without our fans. Seeing the happy faces at our shows, all the nice comments online and the nice talks at our shows are just awesome and we enjoy it very much!
