Can you say a few words about your band?
Hi Bojan, thanks a lot for this interview. Pendulvm is a one-man band from Antofagasta (desert north of Chile) that plays primitive death/doom metal with lyrics about death, despair, sorrow and spirits in pain. Recently I released my first EP called »Llanos de Tumbas« so I hope the readers could listen to it.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Achieve a concrete result as a solo project was the first challenge. Now, is to get noticed in times of social media and the great amount of bands around.

What can you be most proud of so far?
I’m proud of the results of »Llanos de Tumbas«, it was better than I expected in the sound I searched and in the public reception.

What was your biggest regret?
In general…maybe…waste a lot of time being drunk and hangover in my 20s, instead of use that energy in strength my body and mind, but not regret at all, everything is a learning.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
As a solo project, I have not playing alive. Nowadays I’m quite reserved, and I have not the energy to play in a band, rehearsal and gig. Maybe in the future I change my mind, who knows.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Talking about bands, all the new wave of old school doomy death metal scene blow my mind the last years. Bands as Spectral Voice, Of Feather And Bones, Crypts Of Despair, Bloodsoaked Necrovoid, for name some, I think that give a boost to the doom death scene around nowadays.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Rotten Cavern (ES), MOHO (AR), Sporae Autem Yuggoth (CL), Ossuary (US), Sépulcre (IT), Rotten Tomb (CL).

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Practice, have fun, don’t worry about numbers and use metronome.

What are your guilty pleasures?
Not guilty, but I like a lot Lana del Rey (my Queen of Sadness).

Can you say something more about current music scene in Antofagasta?
Antofagasta is a city in a province far from the Chilean capital (Santiago) so the scene is really small and closed, but always active. Is very heterogenous, there is not a thrash, death or black metal scene, there is only a scene, where gigs can be with bands of differents generes. About bands, ODIO (doom metal) and Black Goat Desecrator (black/death metal) are close bands to me. Also I can name Martyrium (thrash metal) and Lacktor (swedish school death metal) that are always supporting me. My past band Infame (sludge doom metal) plays alive about 10 years in the scene, but that is another history.

Where can we see you live soon (concerts/tours)?
Not for now, maybe someday.

What are your plans for the future as a band?
I’m working on new songs for a new release, I thinking in a LP, maybe for the begining of 2026. Also I would like to release a split with a close band, but nothing closed yet.

Do you have any special plans for New Year’s Eve?
Nothing crazy, just being with my wife and son.

How can people best support your band?
Sharing, recomending and buying my music.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Don’t let your flame goes out.
