Doomed Confessionary: Elvio, Rodrigo & Daniel (Triangulo Negro)
Triangulo Negro is a heavy psych/stoner rock trio hailing from Rosario, Argentina. Formed in 2014, the band currently consists of Elvio Valdés on guitar, Rodrigo Ortiz on bass, and Daniel Tenaglia on drums.
Triangulo Negro’s music is largely instrumental, built heavily around a groovy, rhythmic punch and distorted, psychedelic guitar tones. Their sound heavily channels classic stoner metal and 1970s psychedelic heavy rock.
They released their second full-length album »El último árbol« on January 8th, 2026. Mixed and mastered by Cristian Dalessandro. Artwork by Belisario Gronda. »El último árbol« is available now on all major streaming platforms.
Can you please say a few words about your band?
We are a trio from Rosario, Argentina, who love 70s rock, and the music we create is the result of that – we aim to sound like the bands we love.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
The biggest challenge was organizing ourselves to finish our first LP.
What can you be most proud of so far?
We’re proud of our two albums to date reflects what we wanted to do and how we wanted to sound.
What was your biggest regret?
We somewhat regret not doing more promotion on social media – something we are currently working on.
What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Los Natas sounded incredible; without a doubt, they are our benchmark in my country.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
International, I was surprised by Slomosa. I really like what they do. In my country there are several, I didn’t name them so no one gets offended, haha.
What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
I’m back to the Sabbath, Purple, and Zeppelin trifecta; I always end up coming back to them.
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Never stop practicing and expanding your knowledge.
What are your guilty pleasures?
Wine and roasts.
Can you say something more about the current music scene in Rosario?
The scene in our city is still small; it’s a bit of a struggle to put together a series of shows.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We’ll be performing in Rosario and the state of Santa Fe.
What are your plans for the future as a band?
Continue composing and releasing material.
