They have just released their debut album »Dark Incantations« on January 1st, 2025 via Black Seal Prod. / Invisible Forces Of Evil / Antichrist Hooligans / Metal Mania. Mávra are Fernando Iser (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Paulo Henrique (guitars), Uriel Erick (bass) and J.I. Indio (drums).

Can you say a few words about your band?
Iser: Mávra is the expression of metallic freedom. We have no definitions, only obscure and old metal.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Iser: Pay for our beers on our gigs.

What can you be most proud of so far?
Iser: I come from the future to say that my greatest pride is having our album released on vinyl! A dream come true 🙂

What was your biggest regret?
Iser: I mixed bourbon with dry wine and mj. One mounth in headache.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Iser: With Rotting Christ in São Paulo. My fav band ever.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Iser: Peggy Zina. She’s damn good.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Iser: Black Sabbath, Coven, The Oath, Master’s Hammer, Mávra (woahh).

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Iser: “Give up, you’re not good for this.”

What are your guilty pleasures?
Iser: Suffering with my football team. And worse… Spending money on this.

Can you say something more about current music scene in Brazil?
Iser: Brazil has always had bands that are a reference in all styles of metal. I’m sure you know Sepultura, Sarcófago, Vulcano, Angra, The Cross, Mythological Cold Towers, among others. So we simply carry on this legacy, meeting old friends and making new ones through the ages. Metal is in our blood and is always renewing itself!

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
Iser: We are planning to perform our first album here in Brazil this year. But we are open to proposals outside our country 🙂

What are your plans for the future as a band?
Iser: Keep playing until our plane crashes.

How can people best support your band?
Iser: Follow us on social medias also digital platforms. And if you like our ugly music, spread it to your friends.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Iser: Don’t get arrested, my friends! In prison you won’t be able to hear us!
