Can you say a few words about your band?
We are just a passionate group of musicians from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, who strive to connect our talent through hard and heavy riffs and relatable lyrics, combining it with energy that appeals to a wider audience in general. Our genre is underground doom/thrash metal.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
The biggest challenge is not having a studio that could handle the kind of music that we love and play. The other one is living in a country where most people do not generally accept Heavy Metal as music.

What can you be most proud of so far?
Having platforms that enables the band to market our songs easily reaching audience internationally and domestically as well.

What was your biggest regret?
Freddy Maneo: I wish platforms like Facebook, YouTube, etc… were available 20 to 30 years ago so we could market our music then…

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Attending a World Metal Festival in our capital city Port Moresby and doing local shows at home.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Having our music picked up by Jeff Tucker from Front Row Radio in the United States of America and having airtime is one of the band’s proudest moments and more importantly having our local fans following us as well on Front Row Radio.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Our musical rotation revolves around hard heavy 70’s, 80’s and the 90’s mainly… We listen to and get lots of inspiration from bands like Black Sabbath, Dio, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, Iced Earth, and the 90’s we were influenced by bands like Pantera etc….

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Freddy Maneo: Always believe in yourself, do what you love and make other people appreciate it…That to me is the most influenced advice i was ever given that made me the kind of musician I am.

What are your guilty pleasures?
Freddy Maneo: I enjoy food too much sometimes eating carelessly which I know I am guilty of.

Can you say something more about current music scene in your city/state/province?
The music scene here is monopolised by the local music, Island Reggae as commonly reffered to.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We can’t say much on that, we’ve always been a local band here at home, unless a breakthrough comes by being recognised by international metal recording labels. We’ll see where were going with some form of success of our music being aired in the USA on Front Row Radio and hopefully with your magazine. We never know where it may lead us to.

What are your plans for the future as a band?
We had some good feedback from some recognised metal (music) promoting agencies who are also affiliated with well known metal music labels on our album, with one suggesting that one of our songs be released in a metal compilation on their label. So we are hoping and praying it comes through.

How can people best support your band?
By getting on our Facebook page and following us as well as our YouTube channel and being able to purchase a real released band album.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Yes, we thank you for your support, time and attention to listening to our music, we truly value your participation in being there for us.
