Doomed Nation

Sounds For The Lost Generation

Doomed Confessionary: Kyle, Erik, Mason & Adrian (Weaving Shadows)

Weaving Shadows is a four-piece blackened sludge/doom metal band from Omaha, Nebraska. However Weaving Shadows is an experience: low tuned guitars and the drone of hi-watt amplifiers provide a sense of existential dread while black metal inspired vocals take you on a journey through the darkness.

The band released their debut full-length album »Cast Through Time« on July 7th, 2023.

Weaving Shadows consists of Kyle Androy (bass, vocals), Erik Fichtner (guitar), Adrian Salcido (guitar) and Mason Weber (drums).

Can you say a few words about your band?
We are a 4-piece doom metal band from the cornfields of Nebraska. We are loud, we are heavy. Our drummer best describes us as sounding like; “Falling down a pit of agony and despair, it’s great.”

What was the biggest challenge for the band last year?
Trying to harness our new sound to try to set us apart from other doom bands. We wanted to have a solid debut, so we really put a lot of effort into writing this year.

What can you be most proud of last year?
Finishing the new album »Cast Through Time« (available on all streaming platforms as well as our Bandcamp). We also had a great release show playing with other Midwestern metal bands.

What was your biggest regret?
None, we try to take things day by day and not to live with many regrets.

What was the best concert/tour last year and why?
We had several awesome shows last year. In March we opened for Nebula, we got the opportunity to share the stage with Year Of The Cobra again and the album release show was a blast.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
We are really starting to see the revival of the scene post Covid. New bands, venues, fans. It’s a very exciting time.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
In the Midwest, Nebraska or Iowa mostly. We also want to try to get some stuff lined up in South Dakota, Colorado and Kansas as well in 2024.

What are your plans for this year as a band? What do you personally want the most?
We really want to continue to build upon our sound, write some new material and get another full length hopefully by the year’s end.

How can people best support you?
If you’re in the area come to a show, if not check us out at weavingshadows.bandcamp.com.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
If you see us in 2024…. wear earplugs.
