Get ready to dive into the heart-pounding world of Deville, the Swedish rock powerhouse from Malmö! With two decades of blistering guitar solos and thunderous drum beats, these rock rebels are ready to unleash a sonic storm like never before.

Celebrating their anniversary, Deville put together 10 electrifying tracks that will take you on a journey through the band’s work over time. With 8 handpicked gems from their albums and the so far unreleased single »Dust«, this record is a testament to their relentless passion for pure, unadulterated heavy rock music. The jubilee album is simply called »20 Years«, out on August 9th, 2024 as limited tape release via Sixteentimes Music.

In 2004 in Malmö, faith united four musicians to form Deville, a heavy rock band with infectious energy. Armed with their authentic fusion of rock, metal and stoner, they got their first release out in 2006 and started to tour. Since 2004, they released six albums, played more than 500 shows and festivals all over Europe, Australia and the United States and shared the stage with great acts as Red Fang, Fu Manchu, Sepultura, Torche, Mustasch and many more.

Deville are Andreas Bengtsson (vocals, guitar), Martin Nobel (guitar), Erik Lundow (bass) and Michael Ödegården (drums).

Can you say a few words about your band?
Hi! Micke from Deville here! I joined back in the November 2019! I play drums in Deville and here’s a long story short! Deville started 20 years (!!!) ago in Malmö! Andreas Bengtsson (Deville founder, lead vocalist and guitarist) and his cousins decided to start something together after playing in various different bands and thus Deville was born and we’ve been rockin’ ever since! Played all over the world… well almost all over the world and released a few records. Last one being our anniversary record »20 Years«! Been thru some member changes over the years but since fall 2022 when Erik Lundow took over the bass and Martin Nobel moved from bass to guitar, we’ve been a solid group and had a ton of fun and played a bunch of shows with our “post metal” tunes!

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Me joining in late 2019, the pandemic was definitely the biggest challenge for us i think! Having shows, tours and other plans cancelled and not knowing if we ever get to play a show again? Unthinkable!! But we got thru it and now we move on with a new experience and positive vibes!

What can you be most proud of so far?
We got to go to Australia for a tour last summer (2023) and that was incredible!! We were supposed to go in 2020… so to be able to go there after the pandemic was fantastic! Also I’m personally proud over our latest single »Dust«! Good ass kicking song!

What was your biggest regret?
Can’t think of anything specific… could maybe be shows we couldn’t get or something like that. Working with people who really doesn’t want to work with us! Not ideal…

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Best tour was definitely the tour we did in Australia!! Epic in every way! The people we met, the places we played and the country itself is amazing!! SUPER well organized too… can’t wait to go back!! BRING US BACK!!

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Musically? I don’t know… maybe Oasis reunion? That’s fucked up and fantastic at the same time haha!

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Black Birch (killer fucking band and great friends of ours) Mass Worship, Meshuggah among others… Stake (a band from Belgium) rotates a lot. But yeah, A LOT of Swedish metal!

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Have patience and be humble! HAVE FUN! And also play A LOT ALL THE TIME haha!

What are your guilty pleasures?
Smoking for sure! A bag of chips/crisps here and there… 😉

Can you say something more about current music scene in Malmö?
Malmö I think is the best spot to play in Sweden right now. We got some cool venues and there’s a lot of cool bands!!

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We are playing Bilbao in mid September and then we go on a 3 week tour in October-November. We constantly update our website with new shows and where to see us! So go there for more info!

What are your plans for the future as a band?
To play more shows of course, always! There’s talks about making new songs and eventually a new record… but we also just released the anniversary album so we’ll see when we cook up some new stuff 😉

How can people best support your band?
Come to our shows! Buy merch and records while there or in our merch shop online. Spread the word!

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Yeah! It’s WAY CHEAPER to come see Deville play at your local venue than buying a ticket to the Oasis reunion! Haha!! But seriously come to our shows this fall when we go on tour and have a beer with us!! Follow us on our social media and listen to our songs! Bye bye now!
