Doomed Confessionary: Molly Marie Kent (OmenBringer)

Photos by Madison Merry

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, OmenBringer was conjured from the mind of Molly Marie Kent. Due to a lack of performative female-fronted bands, Molly sought to radically rock the scene with sexy, witchy, riffs that can’t help but be catchy.

Inspired by classic rock and metal, such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram, and Thin Lizzy, OmenBringer delivers a sonic arsenal of doom metal sorcery to headbang and booty shake to.

The band is currently gearing up to release their debut full-length album »Thicc Darkness« on June 6th, 2024.

OmenBringer are Molly Kent (The Supreme) on vocals, Cory Cline on lead guitar, Spookie Rollings on rhythm guitar, Tyler Boystun on drums and Mario Galati on bass.

Can you say a few words about your band?
OmenBringer is a stoner metal witch band that hails from Nashville, Tennessee, USA. We have songs about witchcraft, Satan, revenge, friendship, and big Tiddy goth girlfriends. If you love Halloween, classic metal, spooky stuff, goth babes, and sex, we are the band for you.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Honestly, our biggest challenge is reining in all the things we want to do because all of us still have full time jobs. When we become full-time musicians, we will have so much more time to work on new material and perfecting our live show.

What can you be most proud of so far?
We are incredibly proud of our full-length record. We started recording in June of 2023 and now, in June 2024 it will be released! We are also very proud of our stage show. It is so much more than just 5 people playing music, we are all PERFORMERS.

What was your biggest regret?
No regrets. You can’t waste time in the present regretting a decision from the past. You need to go forth with confidence and keep working towards your goals.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Every concert is better than the last. With each show our audience grows and our performance gets sharper. We are always thriving for the best show we’ve ever had for each new show.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Win your hometown. Get a solid home base. Pack out the venues in town and then you can start traveling. We are located in Music City USA. If you can draw a crowd here in a town full of really good musicians, you’ll do well wherever you go.

What are your guilty pleasures?
I never feel guilty about my pleasures. I embrace them.

Can you say something more about the music scene in Nashville?
Nashville is a place where musicians of all sorts come to try to make it big. It is a town full of talented people, and therefore your audience is automatically full of skilled musicians who will be skeptical. You need to be special to draw a crowd here. We are very proud of the fans that we have amassed. It means so much in a place that is over-saturated with free and fantastic live music that people will come and pay to see you play.

What are your plans for the future as a band?
We are going to be the next KISS. I’m dead serious. We are going to put on shows that are famous for their production. Each member of our band has their own distinct personality and flair and is lovable in their own right. We want every member of the audience to feel like they REALLY got their moneys worth and saw a real SHOW. We also want to connect folks of all backgrounds and create a concert space that is fill of love and positive energy. Like you know you will make friends at the show.

How can people best support your band?
Come and see us, follow us, reach out to us online, but most of all, share us with your friends.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Readers, this is The Supreme speaking to you: Come and join the coven of big Tiddy goth girlfriends, witches, warlocks, and weirdos. We are waiting for you.
