Doomed Confessionary: Pedro Petracco (Astral Pigs)

Astral Pigs is a stoner doom quartet from Chañar Ladeado, Argentina.
The band started around 2015 influenced by Kyuss, Los Natas, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Electric Wizard, Blue Öyster Cult, The Devil’s Blood, etc. Astral Pigs discography: debut album »Acónito« (2019) on Herrecords (re-released on tape by Ruidoteka Records in 2021) and »Our Golden Twilight« EP (2022).
Astral Pigs are Pedro Petracco (guitars), Bruno Angelino (vocals), Fabricio Pieroni (bass, Hammond) and Catriel “Catu” Pellis (drums).
Can you say a few words about your band?
I am Pedro Petracco, guitarplayer for Astral Pigs and we play doom/occult rock and we are from Argentina.
What was the biggest challenge for the band this year?
Our biggest challenge for this year is release our 3rd album called »The Uncomplete Offering«. We just released a single on Bandcamp.
What can you be most proud of this year?
This year we ending composing our 3rd album and we are about end the recording sessions.We are very proud of our new music and cant wait for share with people whom support us.
What was your biggest regret?
Nothing really regret for us.
What was the best concert/tour this year and why?
We only had small gig. Unfortunly we live in a region far from all kind of heavy music scene.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Our big suprise is that our second album »Our Golden Twilight« was released for Doom Labels such as DHU Records, Unforgiven Blood, Interstellar Smoke Record. And being released on vinyl. That is amazing for us!
Where can we see you live next year (concerts/tours)?
Not any tour for us for now, hope one day we can tour with bands like Hebi Katana, Wizard Master, Arteaga. We really love that bands!
What are your plans for the next year as a band? What do you personally want the most?
My personal goal and for the band is release our 3rd album and sign again with the labels like the album before.
