Madabat is a psych fuzz rock power trio hailing from Strasbourg, France. Founded in 2024 by former members of Iron Bastards.
After a 5-track EP »Madabat« (April 2024) and a live EP »Live At Willerhof« (October 2024), Madabat continue to explore a fuzz-driven, psychedelic, and dreamlike universe with a 70s-inspired sound.
Madabat’s debut album »In The Dirt« was released on October 23rd, 2025. Recorded and mixed at La Turbine Studio, »In The Dirt« is now available on all major streaming platforms. The band also dropped a music video for »Reality Distortion Fields« in 2026.
Can you please say a few words about your band?
Madabat is a spiritual music based on the heritage of 70s rock with a modern sound that brings us back to sincerity into this tormented world. Madabat immerses you in the twists and turns of the fuzz.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Constantly reinvent ourselves to keep this vibe of purity. Ensure that each note played resonates with people as much as we do. Open for Jimi Hendrix, haha…
What can you be most proud of so far?
To be able to perform on the stage, to keep the Fuzz and psychedelic music going, to give everything to our audience (on a mission for rock) keep playing music with soul, guts and heart to spread message of love to the people.
What was your biggest regret?
The difficulty in accessing stages or venue where one would like to play.
What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Our best concert according to us will remain by far our first concert at the Willerhof in September 2024, a peaceful venue in South Alsace (68, France). Because the place reflects a beautiful energy and the connection between the audience and us were really intense and unforgettable
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Quite simply for meeting all three at the right time to create this project, which has united us since September 2023, we like to be active in terms of compositions, we have released two EPs, an album, two clips and a live session. We are all 3 sound enthusiasts and we constantly experiment to find new sounds in the band, find a sound between vintage-modern, and put analog machines.
What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Slift – Illion, Osees – »A Weird Exits«, Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin – »Misty Woman«, and »Who’s Next« album from The Who are among our artists of the moment who tour in loop.
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Listen to everything, don’t put yourself in a box and let time do things, it takes patience to gain mastery.

Can you say something more about the current music scene in Strasbourg?
In recent years, the music scene in Strasbourg has lost some places conducive to our musical style, however there are still great places to send, gather in a good mood, beautiful associations are still active allowing the culture to live.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
On March 15 at the Chinois in Montreuil and on April 18 at the Spitalkeller in Offenbourg and on June 21 at the music festival in Marckolsheim.
What are your plans for the future as a band?
We released our first album »In The Dirt« at the end of the year 2025. For the rest, we are already composing the second album, which is progressing really well. So the continuation is new album, new tour and new horizons, to perpetuate our thoughts and our values.

Come to the concerts, come and talk to us because we like to exchange with the audience and buy our own made merchandising. Support your local fuzzy players.
Do you have any message for your listeners?
Heavy music is not fucking dead and keep listening to music because that’s what makes us alive.
