Emerging from the northern marshes, White Tundra creates sonic journeys that drift across icy tundras and into shadowy forests. Their sound is a thrilling mix of 70s heavy rock and 90s stoner vibes, enriched by elements of doom, black metal and Nordic folklore. With influences ranging from Red Fang to Witchcraft and Skraeckoedlan, they deliver a truly unique and heavy experience.

After making waves with their self-titled debut album (All Good Clean Records) in 2023, which earned a place on the Doom Charts and widespread praise throughout the underground scene, White Tundra have signed earlier this year with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records for their second album, scheduled for release in 2026. With a solid and inspired lineup now in place, they are ready to reach new heights and captivate a wider audience.

Formed in 2018, White Tundra consists of Steven Kresin (guitar, vocals), Kjell Andres Nilsen (guitar, vocals), Øyvind Persvik (bass) and Ola Fuglevaag (drums).

Can you please say a few words about your band?
We are a hard rock/stoner rock band from Trondheim, Norway. We have just finished our second album that will be released next year through Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
That might be to combine the band life with full time jobs and family, there are not enough hours 🙂

What can you be most proud of so far?
That might be releasing our debut album, or signing with Argonauta Records this summer of course.

What was your biggest regret?
No one yet, but we bet there will be some later on, haha.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Our best concert might be our release gig for the first album, or last year’s gig supporting Sibiir.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
How long everything takes, but also how many nice people there are in our music scene!

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Oh, that’s a lot! To many to mention, there is a lot of different music being played on our road trips.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
To to be patient and don’t rush anything.

What are your guilty pleasures?
There is no such thing as guilty pleasures 🙂

Can you say something more about the current music scene in Trondheim?
Here in Trondheim and Norway there are really many good underground heavy bands. A lot of exciting things are happening, and hopefully a lot of bands you will hear more about soon.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We got a few cool gigs confirmed for next year that we can’t talk about yet, but we are looking forward to telling you soon!

What are your plans for the future as a band?
First thing now is to plan the album release with Argonauta Records, and then hopefully play many gigs next year. And we are already working on new material for the next releases.
