Doomed Confessionary: Xze, Yorsh & Oni (Sha-Fu)

Sha-Fu is an instrumental progressive doom metal trio hailing from Cordoba, Argentina.
The band is currently gearing up to release their new album, entitled »III«, which will be available soon on digital platforms. In April, Sha-Fu launched the lead single from their anticipated album. »Cronos« is a journey through the relentless passage of time, crafted with their intense progressive doom metal sound. This track not only sets the stage for their upcoming album but also embodies the spirit of 420 special release date.
Sha-Fu are Valentín Agüero on bass, Jorge Croce on drums and Juan Cordoba on guitar.
Can you say a few words about your band?
We are an instrumental progressive doom metal band from Cordoba, Argentina. We’re about to release our third album, titled »III«, which completes the trilogy we started back in 2022.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Find a way to keep evolving both on a musical & creative level as well as what regards to production.
What can you be most proud of so far?
We’re very proud of how hard everyone involved in the making of »III« worked.
What was your biggest regret?
Missing our two last shows, for different reasons, whether due to scheduling or health, we haven’t been able to play live, for almost 5 months now.
What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
When we presented our last album »II« live.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
How cool and supportive everyone is.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Gojira, Tesseract, Pelican, Tool.
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
We’d probably have to go with “Protect your ears at all time”.
What are your guilty pleasures?
Not sure about “guilty” but unsafe for having a band, is definitely contact sports.
Can you say something more about the music scene in Cordoba / Argentina?
The local scene is slowly building back up after the pandemic and there’s a ton of new and awesome bands, exciting times.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
Some of us are still recovering from health issues and with the rest finishing up the new album, it’s gonna a be a few months until we’re ready to hit the stage again, surely in our town, most likely closer to the end of the year.
What are your plans for the future as a band?
We wanted to complete the trilogy, now it’s time to go out and bring our music to as many places as we can.
How can people best support your band?
By going to our live shows and sharing our music with as many people as possible, also getting our merch helps not just the band, but also the awesome artists we work with.
