Roosendaal, Netherlands based hard rock quartet Hvalross is gearing up to release their sophomore full-length album »The Deep« on August 29th, 2026 via Gram Records.

At the end of summer 2026 Gram Records will release the second Hvalross album!

Hvalross is a four-piece from Roosendaal, founded in 2018. The hard rock and heavy metal from the seventies and eighties is rooted deep in their sound, supplemented with influences from contemporary stoner and heavy rock. In 2020 they released their debut album »Cold Dark Rain«, followed by a series of digital singles with new songs. So, now it is time to collect them all on album number two. The tracks were remixed and remastered for vinyl by Erwin Hermsen at Toneshed in Horst, and sound big, fat and amazing. The illustrations were done by the infamous Nozzman.

The first pressing is limited to 200 copies and will come on swamp-green splatter vinyl. Includes a full color 8-page booklet!

Hvalross is a four piece Dutch hard rocking band. Not from Norway as the name would suggest (Hvalross means Walrus). The band saw first light in the spring of 2018, but the members have been rocking since they were teenagers in the late eighties. Hvalross wants to honour these times. The hard rock and heavy metal from the seventies and the eighties therefore has a strong base in their sound and lyrics, supplemented with influences from contemporary stoner and heavy rock music. Hvalross integrates narrative stories about fantasy, mythological and existential themes. This results in a powerfull and at the same time melodic sound. Heavy and monstrous like a walrus.
