Dutch heavy psych/stoner/prog rock outfit Hollow Drifter presents their new three-track EP »Colours In Time«

Amsterdam, Netherlands based heavy psych/stoner/prog rock outfit Hollow Drifter has just released their new three-track EP »Colours In Time« on July 10th, 2026.

Hollow Drifter is a heavy psych band, founded and based in Amsterdam, venturing into protean songs and hypnotic jams, floating and trampling, merging together rhythms, noise and epic structures into a boiling cosmic brew.

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath are obvious inspirations, thought their music also gets nourished by Tool, Kyuss, Elder, Slift, Battles The Comet Is Coming, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard… and so many more artists, genres and influences.

Liam (vocals, guitar) says about »Colours In Time« EP:

“Last year, in May 2025, we spent a weekend in the studio of our dearest friend Mark, Quantum Intermission, recording what would eventually become »Seasons, Ages, Legends…«, a 14-min song, quite a litteral sonic journey where psychedelia emerges from folk, vocal harmonies and guitar solos follow one others, story is both told by words and jams. You’ll probably hear in this song some old-school early 70’s inspirations, that’s a huge part of our musical education and we just let it flow and embraced it.

Because we wanted to create the exact atmosphere that is now emanating from this song, it took us quite some time to come up with the right lyrics. Bittersweet contemplation, melancholia, intimacy and epic intertwined, we think this is a song of love and hope, though the meaning belongs to every single listener.

Alongside this songwriting obelisk, we crafted 2 smaller musical pieces, or rather musical fragments, »Morning Fog« and »Cradlesong«, a way for us initiate and conclude the trip with a few different colours, bringing on depth and contrast.

Now, mid-2026, it’s about time to release this gem we’re extremely proud of! We do hope you’ll be able to let everything else go and melt in the sound we passionately crafted.”
