Ecuadorian black/doom metal band Kteis presents their debut album »Cedimmenths – The Darkest Paths For Eternity«

Quito, Ecuador based black/doom metal band Kteis teamed up with Evil Domain Productions and Wolfgang Records for their debut album, »Cedimmenths – The Darkest Paths For Eternity«, which was released on August 8th, 2025. Kteis features current and former members of Arac, Isthar, Death’s Cold Wind and HellButcher.

Kteis is a complex and multifaceted concept that can be interpreted in many different ways. It is a personal exploration of the black energy of being, but it is also a universal metaphor for the human experience. The evolution of chaos through the steps of birth to death and transcendence, traversing the dark vertices of the mind and body, is a journey that we all share. By understanding this journey, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

Kteis debut album, »Cedimmenths – The Darkest Paths For Eternity«, is a conceptual exploration that consists of five parts.

The first is Engendrar, which means “to generate” or “to create.” This is the moment of germination of a new being or idea. The second moment is Nacer, which means “to be born.” This is the moment of recognizing new life and opening your eyes to the world. The third moment is Despertar, which means “to wake up.” This is the moment of chaos and contradiction, when we come to understand that we are both creators and destroyers. The fourth moment is Muerte, which means “death.” This is the moment of the release of energy, as stars die and become black holes. The fifth and final moment is trascendencia, which means “transcendence.” This is the moment of entering a trance to become more than just chaos, to find the true path to the beyond.

• The first song, »Blow Me The Breath Of Life CDMM I« (“To engender”), represents the germination of a new being or idea.

• The second part, »Emanation Of Blackness CDMM II« (“To be born”), represents the recognition of a new life and the opening of eyes to the world.

• The third song, »Unbridled Path To Awakening CDMM III« (“To awaken”), describes the moment of chaos and contradiction, where we face the duality of being both creators and destroyers.

• The fourth part, »Beyond The Horizon Of Events CDMM IV« (“Death”), represents the release of energy, similar to the death of stars and their transformation into black holes.

• The album concludes with the fifth and final movement, »Fiat Iustitia et Pereat Mundus CDMM V« (“Transcendence”), which embodies the act of entering a trance to go beyond chaos and discover the true path to the afterlife.

The album is a journey through the cycle of life and death, from the moment of creation to the moment of transcendence. The first three movements deal with the physical world, while the last two deal with the spiritual world.
