Epic doom/death metal solo project Tales Of Mike share the first single »RIP (Landscape Of Sorrow)« featuring talents of Argentinian vocalist Gonzalo Civita (Heléh, Tribal). Tales Of Mike is a brainchild of German musician Michael Heß. The song is for and about his late brother who died of bone cancer in 2010. The story is based on a true event, when they were children in the children’s home and were physically abused by a nun for years.

The man behind the project, Michael Heß comments: “I am very happy to publish this song which I wrote for my brother who passed away 13 years ago. It has been an exciting adventure to write this song and I’ve met some friends along the way who supported me all the way.

I want to thank Gonzala Civitia (Heléh, Tribal) who sang the incredible vocals for this song. Furthermore, I want to thank Matías Takaya who produced the song so greatly. I stayed in close contact with both of them all the time and it was great to work on this song together. The great cover was made by the great Valentina B. The lyrics, which are based on real events, were written by my daughter Shannon.

I think my brother Markus would have loved this song, so I hope you’ll love it too.”
