“Desert-like guitar tones meld with rich vocal timbres equals Kaibald – a western blues-rock band.”
Kaibald is a desert blues-rock band from the island of Hiiumaa, Estonia, named after Estonia’s only desert, the Kaibald Sands.
Their music combines cinematic desert blues, western influences, country storytelling and atmospheric rock. Inspired by wide open landscapes and long road trips, they create songs that feel like soundtracks to imaginary films.
At the heart of Kaibald are singer-songwriter Liisi and drummer Don, a couple who chose to leave city life behind and settle on the island of Hiiumaa. Surrounded by forests, open landscapes and the wild beauty of the Baltic Sea, they found both a home and a creative sanctuary that continues to shape the band’s music.

Over the years, Kaibald has performed on both intimate club stages and larger festival stages, including appearances at Augustibluus, the largest blues festival in the Baltics. The band has released four singles so far, with their debut album, »Roadtrip To Kaibald«.
Drawing inspiration from both the Nordic landscapes of their home island and the spirit of the American West, Kaibald offers a distinctive blend of roots music, Americana, blues and alternative country with a unique northern twist.
The band continues to bring its cinematic desert sound to audiences at home and abroad, carrying a piece of Estonia’s wild northern landscapes wherever the road leads.
