Umbersound stated about the new song:

“»It Still Breathes« is about the creeping anxieties and thoughts that live in the back of your mind. Nothing negative ever truly disappears it stays beneath the surface, waiting. Open that door too far, and chaos follows. The video acts as a ritual transformation of those anxieties into something creative, beautiful, and frightening. The burning words and lamb’s heart become physical manifestations of fear, vulnerability, and emotional weight. Rather than escaping darkness, the piece confronts it directly turning inner turmoil into creation. What is buried never truly dies. It still breathes.”

»It Still Breathes« is a meditation on what lingers beneath the surface. Built on crushing riffs and haunted melodic passages, the track captures the persistence of buried thought, something ignored but never gone. Recorded mostly through analog tape and driven by saturated textures, the sound carries a physical weight where imperfection and spontaneity become part of the composition itself.
Umbersound’s upcoming album »Tracks From The Slither« expands further into psychological terrain, exploring avoidance, internal decay, and the consequences of neglecting one’s inner self. Much of the album was captured in single takes, prioritizing instinct over precision and allowing each moment to exist as it happened.

Recorded and mixed by Joe D’Angelo. Mastered by Acle Kahney at 4Dsounds. Album cover by James Hutton.
