Stavanger, Norway based thunderous psychedelic stoner/doom metal band Forgotten King premiere new single »The Sun«, which will be officially released this Friday, May 24th, 2024 via Majestic Mountain Records. The song is taken from their upcoming full-length due out in July 2024.
Music from the heart and soul. Every sound or song is different but in a similiar way. Forgotten King is a solo project from Kal-El guitarist Azul Josh.

Descending from Norway armed with the twin hammers of riff and groove, Forgotten King are the heralds of a heady, heavy trip into the cosmos. What began as the solo project of Kal-El guitarist Azul Josh morphed into a now full-fledged band, and the four-piece are poised to lay waste to the heavy underground with their brand of euphoric, crushingly weighted psychedelia, stoner, and doom.
Working with Sweden’s Majestic Mountain Records, the crew fire their opening salvo with single »The Sun«.

Inspired by the cautionary tale of Icarus, the band roll forward with booming low end and crashing drums, creating a momentum that never lets up underneath Azul’s haunting croon and flowing guitar leads. Mesmerizing in its expansive groove, »The Sun« saves the real heat til the end, and it’s a scorcher.
Forgotten King balance both the heavy and the serene with ease in their ascent to the throne, where a full-length awaits its release in late July. Stay tuned for more details soon.

His music tells a story about ego, mental illness, and spirituality through heavy distorted tunes and fuzzed out riffs while drawing inspiration from all that is life.
