The end of the world is here!
Never before has the end of our days been so eagerly anticipated. Tonight at midnight, the wait ends with the release of »Todo va hacia el mar«, the first full-length album by Argentinian band Fin del Mundo, which will be (if it isn’t already) your new favorite band. Post-rock, shoegaze and indie rock in equal parts in a compilation of 8 songs that will make you travel to the southern Patagonia. Don’t miss them on their first European tour, starting on November 20, taking them to France, Switzerland, Italy, Gibraltar and Spain!
Since the beginning of the Summer, Argentinian band formed by Tita, Juli, Yan and Lucía has been showing how it would all end with the singles »El próximo verano«, »La Noche« or »El incendio« – in this song, they were already encouraging people to let go when everything ends because in the end »Todo va hacia el mar«. And that is precisely the title of their new album, which is officially released this Friday, November 3, at midnight. Thanks to their meticulous and evocative fusion of post-rock, shoegaze, dream pop and indie rock, this 4-piece band is considered by critics, and their fan base, as one of the great revelations of rock in Latin America today. Their music is being played by Djs Radio 3, KEXP and podcasts from all over the world; and magazines such as RockZone, Mondo Sonoro, Ruta 66, Rolling Stone, Muzikalia or The Obelisk, among others, continue to talk about their music.
The vast majority of us got to know the band thanks to the legendary Seattle radio station, KEXP, and their incredible live session, which has already reached a staggering 1 million views in its first year. However Fin del Mundo began a bit earlier, in April 2020, when they self-released their self-titled EP. Subsequently, in June 2022, they repeated the move by introducing the world to a new EP titled »La ciudad que dejamos«. It was at that moment, with the pandemic behind us, that everything began to work with numerous gigs throughout their native Argentina and some initial visits to Chile. In 2023, they signed with the Spanish label Spinda Records and a few months later began working with the Brazilian booking agency Brain Productions, with the aim of getting more and more people to listen to their music and travel with them to the southern Patagonia, to the true “end of the world” as they indicated in a recent interview.
»Todo va hacia el mar« will be available this Friday, November 3, at midnight in digital and in various physical formats: from a pink cassette and a carefully crafted compact disc edition to a triple edition on vinyl (as part of ‘The Noisy Series’s by Spinda Records), limited to 500 copies in black, 300 in transparent and 200 in magenta – all of them hand-numbered and featuring beatufiul artwork by illustrator Óscar Málaga, which combines the cover art of their two previous EPs.

And as it couldn’t be any other way, Fin del Mundo will cross the pond for the first time to present »Todo va hacia el mar« in Europe, on a tour that will take them through France, Switzerland, Italy, Gibraltar and Spain, where they will recording a live session at Radio 3 and playing at Monkey Week Festival, sharing stage with bands such as Los Planetas, La Ciencia Simple and label mates such as Travo, The Silver Linings and Maragda.
