Finnish alternative metal outfit Thurifer unleashes new music video for second single »Witness«; new EP drops May 30th!

Lahti, Finland based alternative metal band Thurifer has unveiled a music video for the second single »Witness« taken from their upcoming EP, »River Red«, set to release on May 30th, 2025.

Alternative metal outfit Thurifer has delivered another intense taste of their upcoming new five-track EP, entitled »River Red«, which will be coming out on May 30. Following the release of the first single »Seven«, the band follows up today with a brand new video for the track »Witness«.

Thurifer comments: “We are thrilled for you to »Witness« the second single off our upcoming EP »River Red«! Probably our most diverse song to date. The song is about how easy it is to turn away and not face the horrors of reality.”

The four-piece from Finland is combining heavy, groove-driven riffs with atmospheric melodies and raw intensity. Their music strikes a balance between crushing aggression and haunting harmonies, forging a distinct identity in the modern metal scene with influences from bands like Gojira and Mastodon.

Fronted by singer-guitarist Jukka Salovaara, the band also features lead guitarist Niko Meriläinen, drummer Tommi Hirvonen, and bassist Jukka-Pekka Nissinen. Together, they showcase a powerful range of sounds on their latest five-song EP, delivering both depth and intensity in equal measure.
