Finland – Emerging from the shadows of the Finnish metal scene, Kalmo announces the release of their devastating new single »Thy Chosen One«, a blackened doom anthem steeped in atmosphere, despair, and unrelenting heaviness. The track is out now via Bandcamp, Spotify, and all major streaming platforms.

»Thy Chosen One« channels the relentless spirit of blackened doom metal with crushing riffs and a pulsating rhythm that tells the story of a soul embracing its destiny as a harbinger of destruction and eternal decline. The single showcases the band’s evolving sound, enhanced by the powerful contributions of two new members and special guest musicians – drummer Linnea and guitarist Juhani – whose performances bring a fresh yet raw intensity to the track.

Kalmo’s transition from a one-man project into a full band marks a pivotal moment in their journey, expanding their sonic depth while maintaining their signature raw and unforgiving edge. Though the lineup still awaits a permanent drummer and second guitarist, this release heralds a bold new chapter.
