Finnish death/sludge metal band KITA releases new live session video for »Kärpässilmät«

Finnish death/sludge metal band KITA has released new live video for »Kärpässilmät« from their »All The Live Will Never Be Gone« session, due out on May 15th, 2026.
“Before entering the new era within our upcoming album, to summarize our journey thus far, we are releasing a studio live-recording we did in the autumn 2025. A full live set consisting of songs from »Ocean Acid« and »Tyhjiö« albums, documenting the evolution and live energy of KITA in all it’s roughness.
This song touches something truly sinister in our psyches. Based on a fever dream, Kärpässilmät always felt like having it’s own, special kind of aura to it, that I can’t really put on words. I think it might be our most powerful song overall.
The day when I recorded the vocals to the original studio version, there was a dead bird lying in front of the studio door. While recording the vocal takes, I felt a strange out of body experience, like the voice that was coming out of me was not really mine. I still sort of feel that way each time we play the song, some different force travels through my spine every time. It’s always a terrifying experience to play this song and go through those emotions.” – Jonne, KITA
