Finnish melodic death/doom metal band Serpent God is set to release their debut album »Denial« on October 10th 2025 via Inverse Records. The first single »repent« taken from the album is unleashed today and it’s available on streaming services.

The band comments: “The sound of hooves stomp the ground. The Apocalypse is coming.”

»repent« is a conjoined train of melodic themes and fatal intentions heading to it’s final destination. The tracks are straightforward and sinuous simultaneously. A delicate scent of classic rock combined with 90’s extreme metal sound with nearly biblical lyrics. Haunting guitar leads with unexpected twists and turns. “When the thickest mist is rising, it is time to repent!”

Biography:
Serpent God is a band formed 2023 in Iisalmi, Finland. The birth is heavily related to Se, josta ei puhuta – band’s writing process; lots of material were created that didn’t fit in the spectrum of Se, josta ei puhuta. In general, the material was more slow-paced and more eerie. However, the mentioned material was also way too good to be deleted, so therefore another output was needed, so Serpent God was born. Different branches grow from a tree with strong roots. Serpent God has its foundation in extreme metal, but there are also heavy influences from post-rock, doom and smaller splashes of more avantgarde sounds.
