Krypta’s new mini album will be released in June, the title song »Lasipalatsi« out now!
Krypta’s latest single »Lasipalatsi« (Glass Palace) is a dive into a dystopia where the weaknesses and insecurities of humans are turned into fuel for the insatiable and faceless money-spinner. The track, which features the band’s most ambitious chorus to date, was produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano, who mastered Ghost’s debut album, among others.
Krypta’s singer-guitarist and songwriter Henri Seger explains: “It’s our biggest song! If you like Juice Leskinen (Finnish legend) and/or Ghost, you’ll love »Lasipalatsi«!”, referring to the song’s combination of Finnish rock and occult rock, for which the band is known.
The song is accompanied by a colourful music video by animator Oliver Webb, which oozes the spirit of 1980’s adventure cartoons in the form of a battle between good and evil – not forgetting the climactic final battle! The video is now available to watch on Svart Records’ YouTube channel.
»Lasipalatsi« mini album will be released on 6th of June, 2025 digitally and on three different 12″ vinyl versions. In addition to the brand new single and Nicolas Kivilinna’s cover track »Rauhattoman rukous«, the album also has four live tracks recorded between October 2023 and July 2024 at On The Rocks in Helsinki and Kuopiorock in Kuopio.
