Parisian feminist grunge rockers Pythies release a new single »Fuck The Pain Away«. Available for streaming now.

Pythies are a feminist witchy grunge band from Paris (France), formed by Lise.L in 2023. The all women act is inspired by the grunge aesthetic of the 90s – think Veruca Salt, L7, Sonic Youth, Hole – and comes with a strong feminist message.

The 3 piece band comprises Lise L, on bass and vocals, Alice Adjutor on guitar and vocals and new recruit Chloe on drums. These three very strong personalities make a fierce alliance : behind the drums Chloe brings a wild grunge energy, Alice embraces a punk and witchy attitude with noise guitar. Finally, Lise, who writes and compose all the songs, knows how to mix power, passion & melody.

Renowned for their powerful spirited live performances the band have drawn crowds across France, selling out top venues in Paris and back in late 2024 sold out The Hawley Arms in Camden. They recently toured the West Coast of America where they amassed many new fans. They have just returned from a successful tour of Italy and look forward to visiting the UK again in the not too distant future.

Pythies knows how to mix sensuality and punk, grunge and witchcraft, feminism and defiance. Pythies release their new single on Feb 19th 2025: a live highlight, a cover of the song »Fuck The Pain Away« (Peaches), presented in their own Pythies style! A foretaste of the album to come!
