They are Moundrag. They are brothers. They have no guitar and they play hard prog heavy psych.
Camille and Colin Goellaen-Duvivier are two brothers from Brittany (France). One, Dr. Mad Drum, plays drums; the other one, Organ Fury, plays keys. Both sing, and together remind us that a guitar is not needed when it comes to play rock ‘n’n roll.
Their crazy love for Atomic Rooster, Deep Purple and King Crimson took them to start the band back in 2018. Since then, they’ve been playing their particular vision of hard prog heavy psych, a hybrid between hard rock and progressive rock, both styles born in England in the late sixties.
From their instrument to their peculiar way of dressing, everything about them is vintage; except them, even though they seem to have returned from a acid trip through the 70s.
After self-releasing a debut EP in 2018, recording a live sessions for KEXP and being part of Svart Records for a short period of time, they signed up by Dionysiac Records & Tour and immediately started touring to present their first full-length album »Hic Sunt Moundrages«, released in October 2022. A few months later and after their iconic show at Barcelona Psych Fest 2023, the band joined also Andalusian indie label Spinda Records (Moura, Fin del Mundo, Maragda, Loma Baja…) to work on the reissue and promotion of their first studio album, together with booking agency Ya Ya Yeah Music.
»Hic Sunt Moundrages« will be part of the label’s “The Trippy Series« and will be out on 27th September in a double vinyl edition, limited to 150 copies in black and 150 copies in electric blue – both hand-numbered and including singles »Demon Race«, »The Hangman« and »The Creation«.
