Paris-based heavy post-hardcore band The Prestige return with »Isthmos«, their third full-length album, released today via Banshies. Dense, introspective and deeply narrative-driven, the eight-track record marks the band’s most contemplative and immersive work to date.

Musically, »Isthmos« pushes further into The Prestige’s distinct territory between post-hardcore, sludge and chaotic hardcore. Slower dynamics, stretched tension and massive, layered textures shape an atmosphere that is both crushing and hypnotic. For the first time, the band expands its sonic palette through deeper explorations of sound design, synthesizers and atmospheric layers, amplifying the album’s cinematic and immersive character.

Captured live with the band performing together in the same room, the recording preserves the raw energy and collective intensity that define The Prestige’s sound. The album was once again produced by Amaury Sauvé (The Apiary) and mastered by Thibaut Chaumont (Deviant Lab).

»Isthmos« opens with the devastating single “Debris”, a track that captures the moment of sudden rupture – the instant when everything collapses and a new reality must be faced. With »Isthmos«, The Prestige deliver more than a collection of songs. They offer a passage, an exploration of what remains after the storm, and who we become on the other side.
