Could Seed is an instrumental post-rock, progressive rock and post-metal band from Le Mans, France.
The band began to gain attention in the independent scene by combining atmospheric elements of post-rock with heavy post-metal riffs and psychedelic/progressive arrangements. Their musical expression is recognizable by long, emotional instrumental sections that gradually build tension and dynamically vary from gentle melodies to massive, heavy walls of sound.
Following the notable EP »Mirage« (2021), they released their first full-fledged studio album, »The Drop Crisis« (2024). This album secured them a contract with the renowned label Klonosphere and earned praise from fans of bands such as Caspian, Toundra, and Elder.
From a murmuring stream of water to a hurricane, Could Seed’s music is a torrent carrying rhythm and texture in a continuous pulse that fills hearts and souls. Within this flow, you will find every favorites inspirations of the band, stealing here and there stoner with Elder flavour, post-rock from Caspian, a psychedelic madness, or a math-rock explosion, all wrapped in a trance that sweeps everything away like a swollen river.

Could Seed’s debut album, »The Drop Crisis«, brings together themes close to the band’s members, drawing inspiration from stoner rock (like Elder), post-rock (like Caspian), psychedelic madness or math-rock explosion… all of this shaped into a sound that is both powerful and gentle. Each song takes the listener by the hand on a journey that warms the heart and mind, creating a foundation for trance built on myths and dreams in Java.
The new studio album of the band Could Seed is called »Terminal«. The album will be officially released on October 23, 2026. The release is released under the auspices of the Klonosphere and Season Of Mist labels. According to announcements and reviews, »Terminal« brings a wider range of emotions and genre experiments. In addition to basic post-rock and metal, the band has woven elements of psychedelia, soukous rhythms and blues into the new songs. As an introduction to the album, the band has already released the single »Druids« (2026) and released a live video clip on their social networks to bring fans the atmosphere of the new material. The album is available for pre-order on platforms like Could Seed, Bandcamp and in physical forms as standard CD and vinyl album (LP).
Band of simples and franks emotions, from Pink-floyd melodys to post-rock anger, Could Seed reconnects with the 70’s heritage without putting aside its more modern influences, to give birth to a mixture that is both elegant and deeply honest. No words here, no disturbances, only a tissue of touchfull melodys, who follow you during the listening and after.
