Matrass is a Bordeaux, France band active since 2016. A quintet united by two common passions: post-metal and post-hardcore.

With compositions in the wake of The Ocean or Psychonaut, the band meticulously doses density and elegance, supporting a clear/saturated female vocal that makes its singularity. Around these compositions, the lyrics formulate a relationship to the world made of enchantment and anxiety and evoke the individual in his inner conflicts and his evolution.

Their perfectionism does not spare the live performances: the marked identity of the light show produces a sound and visual continuum, an enveloping softness that can turn into a surgical strike.

After their last EP, »Inner Wars« (2022), and national exposure (opening for Perturbator, Ingrina, Hypno5e, participation in the 666 Festival, etc.), the group returned to their experiments in anticipation of the release of »Cathedrals«, their first album, which dropped in May 2024.
