On February 14 doom metal act Carcolh will unveil their highly-anticipated third studio album, »Twilight Of The Mortals«, as a follow-up to the critically acclaimed »The Life And Works Of Death« (2021). Released in vinyl LP, CD, and digital formats through Sleeping Church Records, the album pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION.

Following the release of the first single »For Every Second…«, the band has given a further insight into their forthcoming album with the crushing track »The Battle Is Lost«.

Guitarist Quentin Aberne about the band’s new single: “After »For Every Second…« and its funeral heaviness, Carcolh presents a second extract »The Battle Is Lost« with a higher tempo and catchy melodies. Despair hits this heavy metal momentum with a fatal break where the guitaristic lament on the desolation of the battlefield resonates.”

Hailing from Bordeaux/Herbignac, France, Carcolh emerged in 2016, birthed from the ashes of Marble Chariot. With a lineup forged from experienced musicians, including members of renowned bands like Oyabun, Hexenjäger, and Dead Toys, Carcolh has solidified their place in the doom metal scene.

Their debut album, »Rising Sons Of Saturn«, released in 2018, marked a powerful introduction, showcasing their ability to craft dense, atmospheric soundscapes. The band’s subsequent release, »The Life And Works Of Death« (2021), delved deeper into the abyss, offering a heavier and more experimental approach to doom metal.

Now, Carcolh presents their third full-length album, »Twilight Of The Mortals«. This latest offering promises to be their most ambitious and captivating work yet, pushing the boundaries of the genre with crushing riffs, haunting melodies, and a raw, visceral energy.

»Twilight Of The Mortals« was recorded and mixed by Raph Henry at Heldskalla Studio, France and mastered by Drudenhaus Studio. Artwork by JR Erebe, Design by Flo Brouard.
