German alternative metal band Godzilla In The Kitchen presents new single and music video »Empty Cribs«; out today on Tonzonen Records!

Following their single »Nothing For None«, German alternative metal band Godzilla In The Kitchen presents a brand new single »Empty Cribs« together with an official music video.

Released July 24th, 2026 on Tonzonen Records, »Empty Cribs« is available now on all major streaming services!

The band comments: “We’re excited to open another chapter in 2026 with our progressive tune »Empty Cribs« supported by a lyric video with haunting imagery. Tool-esque bass lines, virtuosic guitar riffs, and deeply emotional lyrics merge into an atmospheric alternative metal piece. Our stoner, progressive, and psychedelic influences culminate in a distinctive, organic sound. The song was written under the impression of declining birth rates. The lyrics were inspired by one of the finest films of the 21st century: »Children Of Men«, starring Clive Owen. We asked ourselves what happens to a society when generations shrink, playgrounds remain empty, wars continue to spread, and the very idea of the future slowly fades? Balancing melancholy and eruptive intensity, »Empty Cribs« paints a portrait of a world losing its certainties without having completely surrendered hope. We’re looking forward to hearing your reactions.”

Godzilla In The Kitchen is a Leipzig-based alternative metal band blending heavy riffs with roots in stoner, progressive, and psychedelic rock. After gaining attention with their instrumental sound and an appearance at Wacken Open Air in 2022, the band entered a new chapter in 2024 when Brazilian drummer Thiago Presto joined the lineup alongside bassist Simon Ulm and guitarist Eric Patzschke. Presto’s explosive playing style and rhythmic influences pushed the band toward a heavier and more dynamic sound. With Simon Ulm stepping up to vocals, Godzilla In The Kitchen evolved from an instrumental project into a powerful alternative-metal act driven by groove, intensity, and atmospheric depth. 2026 marks a prolific new phase for the band. A wave of new music will be released this year on their new label, Tonzonen Records.
