Lantlos present the nimble track »Oxygen« as the tasty final advance single taken from the forthcoming new album »Nowhere In Between Forever«, which is slated for release on April 3, 2026.

“This song is rollerblading through a utopian vision of the late ’90s rave euphoria – a hyper world of digital elevation and weird plastic positivity,” mastermind Markus Skye muses. “»Oxygen« channels that era’s surreal optimism and unbroken faith in technology as a gateway to a bright, boundless future. I take it as a kind of ‘Metal DnB’ track. Metal and rock drumming are driving a classic breakbeat rhythm that creates a rush of velocity and acceleration, which feels both euphoric and slightly shrill. This strange flight through early 3D models of an endless digital reality gets you suspended between plastic bliss and power trip exhaustion on your way to elysium.”

Lantlôs capture ‘The Unfathomable Lightness of Being’ like hardly any other band that started out under the influence of black metal at what now feels like a million years earlier. On their sixth studio album, »Nowhere In Between Forever«, mastermind and sole musician Markus Skye (formerly known as Markus Siegenhort aka Herbst) takes the general direction of its predecessor »Wildhund« (“Wild Dog”) at least one step further.

»Nowhere In Between Forever« offers a spiritual trip into the glittering world of the 90’s, when everything seemed somehow easy and possible. The album offers a collection of hit songs that are rooted in the current Lantlôs sound, to which it adds elements from the digital sonic sphere that started to expand drastically during the final decade of the last millennium. On the other hand, it would be doing this album massive injustice to view it as pure nostalgia. As Skye notes, there is a hollow plastic feeling that is deliberately built into »Nowhere In Between Forever« and subtly casts a foreboding shadow of darker times to come. These musical plot-twists connect the easy-going, seemingly sunny and even poppy alternative rock and metal tracks to the black past of Lantlôs.

With »Nowhere In Between Forever«, Lantlôs confirm both the stylistic trajectory taken with the last two albums and their remarkable ability to create captivating tunes and beautiful melodies with a nearly frightening ease. Trigger warning: »Nowhere In Between Forever« contains only beautiful killers and no fillers!
