German dark doom metal band Sacrifire return with new standalone single »Anthesteria«

German dark doom metal band Sacrifire premiere new standalone single »Anthesteria« accompanied by a lyric video.

Says the band: “Our new single »Anthesteria« is out now and available on all digital platforms!

A song about the turning of seasons, about rebirth after darkness, about life pushing through the cold. One last breath for this year – and a glimpse of what lies ahead.”

Sacrifire return with a new standalone single: »Anthesteria«. Released in the heart of the bleak season, the track captures the moment when winter loosens its grasp and the world begins to stir again. Heavy, organic and unfiltered, the song breaks through the frozen silence with a warmth that feels almost ancient. The artwork and lyric video comes once again from Simon Bossert. Produced, mixed & mastered by Jörg Uken (Soundlodge Studio) and Sacrifire.

Imagine an unruly child of dark mid-tempo doom and gothic metal, bringing together the best of both worlds in a way that is emotionally touching without losing its (heavy) drive. If you try, you might end up hearing Sacrifire.

With members of Disbelief, Décembre Noir, Warpath, Soul Demise and Detraktor, fans can definitely expect high quality metal, nonetheless one would not necessarily foresee the stylistic direction of Sacrifire – keeping the beforementioned bands in mind. Their self-titled EP from 2020 already gave a first impression of their style that harkens back to the heyday of bands like Paradise Lost or Type O Negative, added by a unique flavor and a sound that allows all musical ingredients to shine: the powerful guitar work, the pounding rhythms as well as the low vocals that oscillates between expressive cleans and aggressive shouts.
