Dresden, Germany based death/doom/black metal band Gorleben share the first single and title track of their upcoming full-length album »Menetekel«, which will be released in October 2025 via Darkness Shall Rise Productions.

Founded in 2010, Gorleben describes their style as a mixture of death, doom and black metal enriched with atmospheric and rudimentary elements.

»Menetekel« is a warning about the destruction of our civilization and that the countdown on it is already running. Using time as a central element, Gorleben brings the predicted apocalypse into our present and makes it tangible from two temporal dimensions.

The four tracks inevitably reflects the path of an uncertain future, marked among other things by the voracity of humanity. Gorleben divides, peering from an unkown future into the bleak present – mene tekel upharsin.
