German doom metal band B.S.T. stream their third full-length album »Herbst«, available now on Bandcamp

Hamburg, Germany based doom metal band B.S.T. stream their third full-length album, »Herbst«, which just dropped on September 21st, 2022. Hard music with German lyrics!

B.S.T. is a traditional four-piece doom metal band located in Hamburg, Germany. The band was originally founded by singer, guitarist and main songwriter Heiko Wenck and drummer Jan Galinski in 1994 under the name Blut Schweiß Tränen which translates to “Blood Sweat Tears”.

Over the years they made some major changes both in line-up and musical style. Looking back, they consider 2009 to be their “real” year of birth, when the the line-up was completed with Jan Rudßuck on lead guitar (and of course Lutz Reimer who had already played bass with the band for several years back then). It was around the same time B.S.T. dropped all remaing hardcore/doomcore roots and concentrated on what they’ve always done best: heavy, traditional doom metal combined with modern sound and heartbreaking melodies.

One of the band’s trademarks is the consequent use of German lyrics since the early beginnings. B.S.T. believe that the deep and intense emotions that characterize Heikos lyrics work best when they do not have to be translated.

In 2009 they recorded their debut EP »Hamburg City Doom« and earned some reputation, followed by the first full-length LP »Die Illusion« (“The Illusion”) 2012 which got some attention and nice reviews in the German doom underground.

B.S.T. released both CDs (»Die Illusion« is also available on vinyl) on their own and didn’t work with a label to that point.

For the second album release »Unter Deck« (2017) the band joined forces with the underground label Voodoo Chamber Records.

»Herbst« is their 3rd full-length album, released independently in September 2022. It is a concept album dealing with dark emotions when loosing a beloved human being. All their releases are available on Bandcamp: bstdoom.bandcamp.com
