German doom metal outfit Epic Down announces new single »The Dispute«; out July 18th on all streaming platforms!

Just in time for the warmer months of the year and the festival season, Leipzig-based doom metal duo Epic Down deliver a soundtrack with depth and plenty of pressure on the drum with their new single »The Dispute«, which will be released on July 18th, 2025 on all streaming platforms.

The song was the result of a creative process characterized by intensive jam sessions and a deep examination of existential themes. The two musicians combine oppressive, slow riffs with atmospheric soundscapes to create a dark yet emotionally charged soundscape. The recordings took place in a local, predominantly analog studio to preserve the raw and authentic sound that is characteristic of the genre.

With this release, the duo follows on from the previously released single »Doula’s Obsession« and paves the way for the upcoming EP at the end of the year.

About Epic Down:

Epic Down is a duo from Leipzig, Germany dedicated to the sluggish grooves and lumbering riffs of sludge & doom, started in 2021 by Mitzschi (guitars/bass) and Fabian (drums/vocals).

Influenced by primal doom, drone and stoner, the sound of Epic Down is mainly characterized by solid downtempo grooves and rolling walls of guitars, complemented by slightly melancholic vocals.

With the release of their »Equinox« EPs in 2023, the band stepped into the light of publicity. After signing to Argonauta Records the band was able to celebrate the release of »Days Of Oblivion« as their debut album in fall 2024.
