Four years after the release of the EP »Watch the World Go By« and two years after the joint split EP with the Brazilians Les Mémoires Fall, Imparity from Bochum are finally presenting their debut album »Tales Of Rust And Bones«. For the band, which has now shrunk to a quartet, the album represents enormous musical and compositional progress. The band used the time of the Corona pandemic well and diligently to further develop themselves in terms of songwriting, technical finesse and interaction.

Singer Eva’s expressive voice is better than ever thanks to this focus. In this context, the wide range of singing is also impressive. Eva impresses with complex vocal lines àla Liv Kristine through modern rock to hard, dark growls. The lyrics on the album are very personal and reflect Eva’s inner life in an impressive way.

Musically, despite all their development, Imparity always remain true to themselves. Deeply rooted in the nineties, the band pays homage to their role models, but without hiding their own identity. Markus’ riffing with influences from hard rock, blues and classic heavy metal comes into its own on the album, as does the dynamic, powerful bass playing of newcomer Greg, who has a lot of experience in psychedelic rock, stoner and thrash metal. Together with drummer Stefan, Greg forms the new and energetic rhythm section of Impatity, which gives »Tales Of Rust And Bones« an official foundation.

The album is mixed and mastered by Markus Skroch (Kalthallen Studios). »Tales Of Rust And Bones« will be released on November 17th, 2023 – as part of the release show at Schattenfest II in Bonn – as both a CD and LP under the Schattenpfade banner.
