Fast and uncompromising, the track channels black metal intensity and the raw aggression of Converge and Trap Them. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Hauke Albrecht at Studio Altona, known for his work with Escapado, Mountain Witch, Turbostaat and Kratzer, »Detention« confronts a deeply personal experience from vocalist Alex’s youth: bullying and physical humiliation. Turning pain and anger into strength, resilience and a stronger sense of self, the song is a furious statement of survival and defiance.

Kavrila have always referred to their sound as doom punk. On »Transcend«, that foundation remains intact while expanding far beyond its original boundaries. New textures, broader dynamics, and influences from across the heavy music spectrum turn the band’s signature sound into its most ambitious and complete form to date, while remaining rooted in the raw intensity and emotional honesty that define the band.
