German doom rockers Motorowl have announced their new keyboard/organ player after performing as a four-piece in the past months. Marie-Christin Herberg (Death Cult 69) joined the band after Daniel Dettlev stepped back from live shows earlier this year.
Motorowl states: “Welcome, Marie! When Daniel shared that he’d be taking a hiatus starting this summer, we began the search for someone to continue this journey with us. It didn’t take long before we got a message from Marie, saying she could see herself joining the ride. Fast forward through a few drinks, dinners, and rehearsals, and it was clear: Marie is the perfect fit. From now on, she’ll be taking over the synths and organ on stage with us, bringing her unique talent and energy to the band. Motorowl is officially back to being a five-piece, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this new chapter with you all. We’ll also announce Marie’s first live appearances with y’all.”
Here’s what Marie has to say: “I’m truly honored to follow in Daniel’s footsteps and join this badass band. We already have a lot in common, including a love for good music, fine fragrances, and we speak the same thuringian dialect. It feels like home. My goal is to bring a fresh spark to the stage, add a touch of femininity to the mix and shake things up in a good way. I can’t wait for all the adventures, the laughs, and the unforgettable moments we’ll create, both on and off stage. Here’s to a great time together as Motorowl!”
