Nuremberg, Germany based doom/sludge metal band Sauros stream their full-length debut album, »Offense«, which was just released this Friday, September 4th, 2026.

“Sauros is a doom metal project from Nuremberg, Germany, experimenting with intentionally reduced, massive riff-heavy music.”

Four veterans of Nuremberg, Germany’s metal and hardcore scene come together in 2019 to make music – very slow, deep and hard! Under the name Sauros they create explicitly simple, riff-heavy and pounding doom metal, full of harshness and grimness. The lyrics are not very pleasant either: Sauros write directly and realistically, about the decay of society, the lack of morals and and the struggle with inner demons. The band started playing live early 2022 and released their first six songs on the debut EP »Retreat«.

Sauros releases their debut album, »Offense«, on September 4, 2026. Early reviews praise the record for its unpolished, crushing, and slow-moving sound.
