German doom/sludge metal quartet Karatschai stream their self-titled debut EP; available now on Bandcamp!

Berlin, Germany based doom/sludge metal band Karatschai has just released their self-titled debut EP on March 13th, 2025 in digital format.

“Radioactive sludge seeping from the cracks of the concrete swamp that is Berlin. Est. 2019.”

Formed from the fallout of a previous unnamed stoner-doom project founded by Danny (currently of Vold) and later joined by Stefan Matussek (Sowa, Single Malt Therapy), Karatschai’s radioactive sludge emerged in late 2019/early 2020.

The band is now a 4-piece with David (ex-Albez Duz, Gapo, Cromlech) on bass and Joel (Metall) on vocals. Since 2024 666tin (Sowa, Esel) has taken up drum duty.
