Hamburg, Germany based doom/sludge metal trio Swamp Corpse return with their second album, »Vol. 2, One Louder«, which was just released on March 15th, 2024.

“Swamp Corpse is a doom metal band from Hamburg, Germany. Loud, heavy and full of thick sludge metal riffs to shatter the senses to.”

Swamp Corpse was founded in 2009 and is playing sludge metal since the beginning. Slow heavy riffs, changing paces and a raw live feeling are the bands trademarks, characterizing the two albums. The members have been influenced by bands like Burning Witch, Crowbar, Electric Wizard, Slayer and Solitude Aeturnus.

Since 2011 Swamp Corpse had several gigs a year supporting and playing with various combos, e.g. Konvent, Ophis, Black Cobra, Isole and Saturnus. They organized two sludge/doom events with some national bands in Markthalle/Marx Hamburg. In 2012 a live DVD from one of these gigs was released.

2018 Swamp Corpse released the first album »Bone Mill« and recorded the second one »Vol. 2, One Louder« in 2021, released in 2024.

They are all recorded, mixed and mastered at Tonmeisterei, Oldenburg.

The mighty Rob Hammer uploaded it on YouTube and we sold our soul to Spotify and the lot, so it is also available for streaming.

We even dug up some left over shirts and will put them up on bandcamp in the next days. Enough talking. Grab a beer and listen. Like we will do now.”
