5 years after the release of the »Cloud Head« single, Christian Kolf (Valborg, Nightmarer, Labyrinth Of Stars) returns with a full-fledged EP in the same vein.

This is Owl at its most vulnerable and emotional. Feelings of loss and isolation resonate through towering riffs that are more reminiscent of the heavier moments on the last Hum album than Owl’s usual crushing, industrial-tinged modern metal.

There is a certain sheogaze wash lingering in these compositions, emphasized by harmonized clean and even vocoder-tinged vocals.

Is »After You Are Gone« a classic Total Dissonance Worship release? Certainly not! But who are we to keep yet another great Owl offering from you?!

For fans of: Jesu, Hum, Junius

Written and produced by Christian Kolf, 2020-2026.
Drums by Eeli Helin.
Lyrics for »Echoes« by Jonathan Rosenfeld.
