Coltaine is the keyword to an adventure in sound. Formed in 2022 in the mystic atmosphere of the Black Forest, Germany, Coltaine transport their intuitive creations into unusually exciting and diverse microcosms of dark, atmospheric psychedelia whose feeling is that of foggy, post metal-tinged acid rock with the sombre hues of blackgaze.
Their newest offering »Forgotten Ways« gives the listener immediate access to an unreal world where the endlessness of life and death come alive within songs that blend complete obscurity with the hopeful lights of pure spiritual energy. With a personal sound that defies all categorizations, Coltaine are ready to embark on a quest across the deep, misty realms of their own musical craft.

Starting from 2022, Coltaine toured Europe multiple times, shared the stage with Crowbar, Downfall Of Gaia, Coilguns, among others, and in August 2023 was invited by Messa to open the German leg of their tour.
Coltaine has been invited to perform at the Fekete Zaj Festival in Hungary in August 2024 (alongside Enslaved, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Clan Of Xymox and more).
In support of their debut album »Forgotten Ways«, Coltaine will hit the road this September, revisiting familiar places from their previous tours and exploring new ones. This journey will take them through 6 countries over 20 dates. The tour kicks off with a special release show for their new album »Forgotten Ways« in Karlsruhe, Germany on September 6, featuring E-L-R as the special guest.
Coltaine’s intense live shows have been described as ecstatic and cathartic. Their extensive live/touring schedule is currently in the works for 2025.
