The song »We Need Spaces« was created in response to the destruction of the Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Studios in Hamburg, where we had previously recorded. Following an explosion in the building, the studio lost its original premises. Studio owner Dennis Rux then invited artists and bands to contribute musical works in order to raise awareness of the situation and support the continuation of independent studio culture.

The piece is intended as a contribution to preserving creative spaces for independent music production. It represents a handmade, artistically independent approach to music-making beyond purely commercial production structures, while also highlighting the importance of cultural spaces where music can be created collectively and collaboratively.”
