German heavy stoner rockers Fat Rhino share »Apocalypse« music video; debut album »Escape From A Smoldering Planet« out now!

Löningen, Germany based heavy stoner rock band Fat Rhino has released a music video for the track »Apocalypse« taken from their debut album, »Escape From A Smoldering Planet«, out on November 8th, 2025.

Fat Rhino – the only specimen of its kind to roam freely in the deep plains of Northern Germany. Crushing the clubs and festivals between the heaths and moor with its heavy stoner rock, the rhino takes you on its horns and hurls you into a torrent of earthy riffs, powerful grooves, and epic vocals!

Between 2006 and 2021, Dennis, Jan and André played over 120 gigs with their former band, El Camino. Highlights were festivals like Afdreiht un Buten, Düte Rockt, and Let The Bad Times Roll, as well as support gigs at the MTS Record Store with Gozu, at Rare Guitar with Bushfire, and at the Westwerk with Sasquatch.

In September 2021, the band started over with Alberto on the mic. They chose a fresh moniker and played some cool gigs, such as the Stadtfest Oldenburg, the Bruch Open Air, and concerts with Fuser, Blood Red Mammoth and Van Groover. The rhino made its audiences dance and bang heads, which is exactly what it will do with your crowd, too!

Jan B. took over vocal duties in June 2024. His timbre, reminiscent of Dave Wyndorf’s raspiness and Scott Weiland’s grandeur, seamlessly fits the band’s sound. Their demo »Red Sabbath« (2024) showcases Fat Rhino’s exciting melange of stoner rock, doom, and psychedelic mixed with a good shot of metal. In November 2025 they dropped their debut album, titled »Escape From A Smoldering Planet«. Enjoy it on all common streaming platforms!
