»Crop« is the second attempt of Leipzig’s prog stoner avantgarde act Kyning to fathom the vortex of human thrownness. Oriented towards the aesthetics of progressive metal and popular music, »Crop« is a journey into the realm of the mythopoetic past. Join their descent and let the vast black ensheathe you.
The emergence of something new out of the memories of desert sands, hazy underground venues and trippy car drives under the starry night. The convergence of the very best the last decades of heavy music brought us. Since 2018, Kyning is at the forefront of a new wave of riff-driven music blending the hard, the mellow and the gritty, riffs to sink into and grooves to bang you head to. Their music commences a Janus-faced journey into the spell of a mythic past and a grim future. Standing on the shoulders of many giants, it marks the leap into the great unknown to either learn the art to fly or miss the ground falling.

Lyrically, they stare at the grim faces of humanity on the brink of despair, loneliness and the vain hopes of a purpose in all of this. Kyning depart for the future looking at the obsolete remnants of the past; at their core the realisation that decay is a loyal if slow friend. So come! Join their trip celebrating the very joy and eeriness of music. Come along, decay is a slow friend!
