Dresden, Germany based stoner/doom metal quartet Slow Green Thing will release their new studio album »Wetterwarte / Waltherstrasse« on March 29th, 2024. Featuring current and former members of Black Karma, Burning Motors, Red Wave, Fyretyre and Stonehead.

Slow Green Thing – already a known name to some in Saxony and beyond – is a stoner/doom crew from Dresden. These guys are majorly vibing with ’70s hard rock, with nods to heavy metal. Mix in mostly stoner rock and doom metal elements, and that’s their signature thread. Psychedelic vocals and jam sessions wrap up their whole deal. With four full-length albums and an EP under their belts, these four are spreading their sound on the green stage.

“WW – nah, it’s not some new global throwdown or the latest diet craze episode. It’s the name of the latest drop – »Wetterwarte / Waltherstrasse«. If you’re a Dresden musician, these spots shouldn’t be a mystery – both are well known rehearsal spaces. The name’s pretty much what you get – the cradle where the tracks were born, three per location, filling up the record – we’re not about that radio-friendly pop rock life.

This album is the crew’s first shot at DIY from the ground up. We’re talking self-recorded, self-mixed, self-mastered, and self-produced – all without the cozy arm of a label. So yeah, it sounds different from the past stuff – it’s raw, it’s raspy, it’s dirty, and it’s heavy. Just how the four bros envisioned.
