The leviathan is one of the meanest creatures that inhabit the sea. It dwells in the watery abyss, no living man but only god himself can defeat it. Its sheer strength and evil power is beyond all imagination. And it is rising, now!

No other beast than only the mighty Leviathan itself is suitable for describing the sound of this five-headed monster, originating from the lowest depths of Lower Bavaria.

Combining a traditional, doomy attitude with elements of stoner metal and sludge, Leviathan Rising created their own chimera of a heavy, powerful and driving kind of doom metal never heard before.

Formed in Passau in 2017, Leviathan Rising are constantly exploring the boundaries of riff-loaded heavy music.

Their 2019 debut »Colossal War« was very well accepted, not only by the growing number of fans, but also by followers around the world.

In 2026, Leviathan Rising are finally back with their sophomore studio album »King In Yellow«, available now in CD and digital formats.
